There's at least one MP group around that has a set of rules to minimize abuses of each mode's flaws, though I'm not well acquainted with what they are. Disconnect other devices if using Wi-Fi If you must use Wi-Fi, disconnect other devices connected to the network except for the one you're running Age of Wonders 4 on. This simple method often resolves issues. Live MP: Auto-battle all independent fights, manual battle all fights between players. Restart the game If you're unable to access the multiplayer mode, try restarting the game. But combats with other players are impossible.Ģ. A Triumph Account is required to use the games online services. ![]() PBEM: take all the time you want on independent turns, it's not like your opponent is sitting there waiting for you. Requires an open IPv4 connection for online multiplayer. So there are basically 2 ways people play:ġ. It's unfortunate, but necessary (see bottom). While a battle is occurring, the rest of the game has to lock up. Local Coop: Random maps and stand-alone scenarios can be played using Hot Seat mode on the same computer using player alliances versus computer opponents. ![]() ![]() I don't play MP, but I've seen this explained often enough to have a good idea of it.
